Reservoir Engineer - Huxley Associates - Oman

The job will entail the following on a daily basis The Reservoir Engineer will provide reservoir engineering support for the Safah and Wadi Latham fields in the areas of reservoir management, development, reserves and evaluating water-flood optimization opportunities.
The candidate will assist reservoir engineers and will work closely with production engineers to support production and optimization activities, water-flood optimization strategies, and depletion options in under-developed parts of the field.
Other responsibilities include developing production /injection forecasts; reserves update support, and training of local reservoir engineers with reservoir development evaluation techniques. The Reservoir Engineer responsibilities include but not limited to: Evaluate and optimize the ongoing secondary recovery projects.
Develop production forecasts and estimate reserves. Identify and propose new development opportunities (drilling , secondary recovery, etc) Support operations, facilities, and workover program activities.
Prepare and participate in technical presentations to Oxy management, partners, and government personnel. Participate in various planning activities including reserves update, project portfolio assessment, capital post-audits, and technical budgeting.
Perform reservoir studies with focus on secondary recovery optimizations and depletion strategies.
Requirements (Minimum education required, background, experience, skills) Degree in Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of reservoir engineering experience. Experience in Evaluations of water flood and other secondary or tertiary recovery operations. Familiar with rock/fluid techniques.
Vast experience in operations and field exposure. Good practical understanding of general completion procedures and production operations. Strong written and verbal communications skill.
Demonstrated history of strong organizational, forecast and scheduling skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with multi-discipline teams.
