Performs duties as the Field Inspection Person for the assigned area and reports to the Inspection Group Leader. Develops and executes inspection data acquisition programs and be held responsible for the accuracy and documentation of all such data gathered for the units in the assigned areas. Also contributes in developing the Inspector skills and capabilities within the group and accepts special tasks or secondments assigned by the Technical Inspection Supervisor and Inspection Group Leader.
Educational Requirements or Equivalent: Possesses a two-year post-high school diploma in related fields of Mechanical, Chemical or Material Engineering from a Technical or Industrial College. High School Certificate holders in science stream will be considered provided that they demonstrate a reasonable exposure to Industry practices.
Skills: NDT certification to minimum Level - II in PT, MT, UT and RTI (Interpretation), and CWI or equivalent weld inspection certification shall be mandatory professional qualifications. A minimum of one code certification (out of API 510, API 653 or National Board Certification or an equivalent) or NDT Level III certification in any of the five methods, will be highly preferred. A thorough knowledge and a long experience in refinery process equipment and piping inspection is required. Shall be conversant with material specifications, design and fabrication codes, SAMREF QA/QC procedures and ISO 9002 quality system requirements. Shall require a minimum English Language Proficiency at ELT Level - V. 9+ years of experience.
